The short version
- The website does not ask for your name, email or address. There are no contact forms, no sign-ups and no accounts.
- We use Google and Microsoft analytics tools to see how the website is used, such as which pages are visited and where people click. They use cookies, and you can block them.
- When you call, we keep what you tell us so we can do the job: your name, phone number, the property address and what happened.
- We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
- Call [PHONE] to ask what we have about you, to correct it or to ask us to delete it.
This policy covers tustindryout.com and the information you give Tustin Dry Out ("we", "us") by phone and during a job. It doesn't cover other websites, including the ones we link to.
Information you give us
Nearly everything we know about you, you tell us on the phone or at the property. That can include:
- Contact details: your name, phone number and the address of the property.
- About the damage: what happened, when it started, which rooms are affected and anything you notice, such as a smell or sagging ceiling.
- About the property: whether you own or rent, and the name and phone number of a landlord, property manager or HOA if you want us to work with them.
- About your insurance, if you choose to tell us: your insurance company and claim number, so the documents we prepare match your claim.
- Billing details: what we need to send you an invoice and record your payment.
When you call from a phone, your carrier shows us your number, the same as any call.
Information we record during a job
To dry a property properly and document it, we record:
- Photos and notes of the affected areas, before, during and after the work.
- Daily moisture readings and where they were taken.
- The equipment we set up, and the materials that had to come out.
- The written scope of work and anything you sign.
These photos and notes are about your property and the damage, and we use them for the job and its documentation.
Information the website collects
The website itself collects very little.
- No forms. Every "Call" button opens your phone's dialer. Nothing you type on the site is sent to us.
- The call preparation list on the Contact page stays on your screen. It isn't saved or sent anywhere.
- Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager to run Google measurement tools, such as Google Analytics. They record how the website is used: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example from a search or an ad), the type of device and browser, and an approximate location based on your IP address. They use cookies and similar technology to tell visits apart. Google processes this information under Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We use the reports to improve the website and to see which searches and ads lead to calls. We don't use them to identify you.
- Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the website: where they click, how far they scroll, and recordings of how a visit moves through the pages, shown to us as heatmaps and replays. Clarity collects device and browser details, an approximate location and how you interact with the page, using cookies and similar technology. Text you type into the page is hidden from the recordings. Microsoft processes this information under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We use it to fix problems and make the website easier to use, not to identify you.
- Your choices about analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's tracking protection or a content blocker (which also stops Microsoft Clarity), or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The website works the same either way.
- Hosting. The website runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for so it can deliver the page and block attacks. It may set a short-lived security cookie for that purpose. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Maps. Some pages show a Google map of our service area. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and browser details and may set cookies under Google's privacy policy. If you don't want that, don't scroll down to the maps, or block third-party content in your browser.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Answer your call, tell you what to do until we arrive, and schedule the visit.
- Do the work: extraction, drying, cleanup and the checks that show when each area is dry.
- Prepare the documentation you asked for, such as photos, moisture logs and an itemized scope of work.
- Send invoices and keep business, tax and job records.
- Follow up about the job you called about.
- Meet legal requirements and protect our rights if there is a dispute.
We don't use your information to build advertising profiles, and we don't add you to a marketing list.
Who we share it with
We share your information only in these cases:
- People you ask us to work with. For example your insurance company or adjuster, your landlord or property manager, your HOA, or a plumber or contractor you name. We send them what you ask us to send.
- Service providers. Companies that help us run the business, such as our phone, scheduling, accounting and payment providers, our website host (Cloudflare) and our website analytics providers (Google and Microsoft). They may use the information only to provide their service to us, or as their own privacy policies describe for website analytics.
- When the law requires it. For example a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect someone's safety.
- If the business changes hands. Records may transfer to a new owner, who must keep following this policy for the information collected under it.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law defines those terms. We also don't share it with other companies for their own direct marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep job records, including photos, moisture readings and invoices, for as long as we need them for the job, for tax and accounting rules and in case questions come up later about the work. When we no longer need a record, we delete or destroy it.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, such as limiting access to the people who need it to do the job. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that information will never be exposed. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as California law requires.
Your choices and California rights
You can call [PHONE] at any time to:
- Know what personal information we have about you and how we use it.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Delete your information. We may need to keep some records, such as invoices, where the law requires it, and we will tell you if that applies.
To protect you, we confirm it's really you before we share or change anything. Usually that means checking details about the job against our records. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your written permission.
California residents may have more rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, depending on whether the law applies to our business. Either way, we will answer your request, and we won't treat you differently for making one.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We don't sell personal information. Browsers handle Do Not Track signals differently and there is no common standard for them, so the website doesn't change its behavior when it receives one. You can block analytics cookies at any time as described above.
California "Shine the Light." We don't share personal information with other companies for their direct marketing.
Children
This website and our services are meant for adults who are responsible for a property. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you think a child has given us information, call us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already have, we'll ask for your permission where the law requires it.
